It felt like a day for oil pastels, so I created this.
It’s tempting to leave you with nothing but the image and those words, but that doesn’t quite cut it. I will say that the idea for the image came from a book on drawing (painting?) with soft pastels, but I took little more from it than the tree and the yellow grass. I just started in with a box of Caran d’Ache oil pastels, a mixed media pad from Canson, and ended up here. The entire process was quiet intuitive and that pleases me.
