Who, or what, is an English Major Heretic?
Good question. That’s what I’m hoping to answer—or better, explore—here.
I think I’d like this to be a daily journal of sorts.
Each morning, I sit in my Reading Nest (for the last few years, on the chaise section of the orange leather sectional in the family room) and take in the thoughts of others, adding my own to a journal or two. I am amassing quite a collection of work, and I love that. I need that. But a private journal is not a public witness. There is something about sharing what you’ve discovered that is important. In fact, it has always been inordinately important to me, and throughout great swaths of my life, I did not understand why. But like that work I am amassing, there is a soul full of ideas and revelations and medicines showing me the way back, which is the way forward.
